A Community Transformed Through Butterflies

Rotary Club of Colorado Springs’ Fund Raiser for School Arts and Sciences Programs

​

Flight (formerly Butterflies & Friends) is an annual community service initiative created by the Rotary Club of Colorado Springs to promote the arts & sciences in schools. Last year, Flight raised more than $130,000 for D11 school arts programs & the Rotary Club’s Service Fund. 

​

It’s a chance to give back to the community and support Arts in schools. As well as just being a whole lot of fun. I value community, playing my part, contributing to the development of children in our community through the realm of art. Plus as an artist it's a very fun project. To have the opportunity and freedom to create a unique beautiful piece of art is very fulfilling. 2016 was my last year participating in flight.
